Description

Back when the Christmas Party and the poem were a tradition at Gilmore's Piggly Wiggly! Twas the night before Christmas And all through the store We did fine on the stock Even though Jason's ankle was sore From Jon and Melissa to Crystal and Doug The youth of the store were filled with love Roger was doing the dairy with care In hopes that his taxi soon would be there Jason and Troy were hitting the bars While everyone else was buying new cars When up in the office there arose such a clatter Daryl hurried right up to see what was the matter When what to his wondering eyes should appear But a man who had stolen, claiming he was Elvis, oh dear! With specials changing from Sunday to Tuesday Some of the customers were confused with the new day Throughout the year many people got hired Some are still with us, others were fired When Wal-Mart went up we were all very nervous But they just can't beat our quality and service Don had to go and get some surgery Herman tried to show his hat hair to Sue B Daryl and Brenda tied the knot The sprinklers thought the deli was much too hot Gayle fell over and broke her hand The picnic for Jack turned out just grand Dougie kept breaking machines on the farm Jean accidentally set off the alarm At Oneida Jason swore he didn't hurl On the way home we sang "Troy to the World" And this is where we must end this poem I fear So Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good year
