NEW Zealand fisherman Nathan Adams is angling for a world record after hauling in a massive 335kg bluefin tuna.
The 42-year-old made the enormous catch from a tiny six-metre boat while fishing off the coast of the country's North Island.
And now he is waiting to hear whether the huge creature is the largest ever caught using just a line and rod.
Overjoyed Nathan said: "When I first started fishing my dream was to catch a giant bluefin exactly like this."
He went on to reveal his plan to have a cast of the snapper mounted on his living room wall.
But wife Lisa isn't quite so enthusiastic about the oversized trophy.
Nathan explained: "Lisa's not too keen on that, because she reckons it's like mounting a sofa or something like that.
"But I've got nowhere else to put it."
