Liu Jiangli, a 6-year-old from China who has thick black fur on half her face and most of her body, had every child's worst nightmare come true: Her father left her at a kindergarten and never came back for her. Her mother had already left the family, abandoning the cute little girl. Although Liu has now been taken in by an elderly relative, she's finding it hard to make friends because of the unusual fur, which she describes as itchy but not painful, that dots her arms in circles and spreads over her shoulder and even inside her ear. There's no official diagnosis, but based on the commentary, we can speculate that this is simply an enormous congenital birthmark, known as a "nevus."
